What and where

Launched in 1994, Worlds is a 3D Virtual Chat program, the first to be available widely on the internet. Containing various worlds, avatars and games, it's servers have survived for 18 years despite it's users moving on to other, more modern alternatives such as Second Life. What once was a popular virtual space with millions of people gathering in it's enthralling environments is now a deserted universe with outdated graphics and music, a forgotten dreamworld at the edge of the internet waiting for it's death for almost two decades.

But it's eternal sleep was hindered by a mysterious series of events that have unveiled it's existence once again. Such as LSD Dream Emulator, the long forgotten PS1 Game, and Yume Nikki, the hidden dreamland of a little girl, Worlds opened it's doors to "Internet Archaeologists" as they call themselves, a group of curious users on a long journey of discovering it's mysteries.
